Corneal Image
Corneal imaging research focuses on developing accurate and accessible methods for diagnosing corneal diseases, a leading cause of visual impairment. Current efforts involve creating comprehensive corneal images from limited data using techniques like panoramic image compositing and generative adversarial networks (GANs) to augment existing datasets for training deep learning models, such as convolutional neural networks (CNNs). These advancements aim to improve the speed, accuracy, and accessibility of corneal disease diagnosis, particularly in resource-limited settings, through automated systems for both topography analysis and retinoscopy. This ultimately contributes to earlier detection and more effective management of corneal conditions.
