Coronary CT Angiography

Coronary CT angiography (CCTA) is a non-invasive imaging technique used to diagnose coronary artery disease (CAD), focusing on improving accuracy and efficiency of analysis. Current research emphasizes automated analysis using deep learning models, such as convolutional neural networks and transformers, to segment coronary arteries, assess plaque characteristics (including pericoronary adipose tissue), predict fractional flow reserve, and automate CAD-RADS scoring. These advancements aim to reduce reliance on manual interpretation, improve diagnostic accuracy, and facilitate risk stratification for better patient management and treatment planning.
