CXR Lt

CXR (chest X-ray) analysis, particularly focusing on long-tailed and multi-label disease classification (CXR-LT), is a rapidly evolving field aiming to improve the accuracy and efficiency of diagnosing thoracic diseases from chest X-rays. Current research emphasizes the development and application of large vision-language models, often incorporating transformer architectures and leveraging large-scale datasets with both image and textual (radiology report) data, to address the challenges posed by imbalanced datasets and the co-occurrence of multiple pathologies. These advancements hold significant potential for improving diagnostic accuracy, particularly for rare diseases, and for automating aspects of radiology report generation, ultimately enhancing patient care and workflow efficiency.
