Delta Radiomics

Delta radiomics analyzes changes in medical image features over time to better understand tumor response to radiation therapy. Current research focuses on applying this technique to lung and brain metastases, using machine learning algorithms like support vector machines to classify patients into risk groups based on these dynamic radiomic features. This approach aims to improve treatment personalization by enabling earlier identification of patients who may benefit from intensified monitoring or alternative therapies, ultimately leading to improved patient outcomes. The improved risk stratification offers the potential for more efficient and effective use of healthcare resources.
