Digital Avatar
Digital avatars are realistic virtual representations of humans, primarily aimed at creating engaging and interactive experiences in various applications. Current research focuses on improving avatar realism and animation through advancements in generative models, such as neural radiance fields (NeRFs) and diffusion models, often incorporating parametric body models like FLAME for accurate pose and shape control. These improvements are driving progress in fields like virtual reality, healthcare (through AI-powered conversational agents), and entertainment, with a particular emphasis on enhancing efficiency and reducing computational demands for real-time applications.
