District Heating Grid
District heating grids are crucial for efficient urban heating, but optimizing their operation and predicting energy demand remain significant challenges. Current research focuses on developing advanced models, including neural networks and agent-based simulations, to improve anomaly detection, optimize heat utilization from sources like electrolyzers, and enhance the speed and accuracy of thermal power flow calculations and state estimation. These efforts aim to improve grid efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and enable more effective maintenance and control strategies, ultimately contributing to sustainable urban energy systems.
