Domain Expert
Domain experts play a crucial role in enhancing machine learning models, particularly in specialized fields where large, general-purpose datasets are lacking. Current research focuses on integrating domain expertise through various methods, including Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) architectures that combine multiple specialized models, and techniques that leverage expert feedback to refine model training and improve the quality of generated outputs, such as explanations or annotations. This integration of human knowledge significantly improves model performance, interpretability, and reliability across diverse applications, ranging from medical diagnosis to scientific literature analysis and educational assessment.
