Domain Ontology
Domain ontologies are structured representations of knowledge within a specific field, aiming to improve data organization, interoperability, and knowledge discovery. Current research emphasizes the integration of domain ontologies with data mining techniques (like CRISP-DM) and machine learning models (including transformers), particularly for applications in predictive process monitoring and anomaly detection across diverse domains such as medicine, materials science, and industrial maintenance. This work facilitates more efficient data analysis, improved knowledge representation, and enhanced decision-making in various scientific and industrial contexts.
