Drug Delivery
Drug delivery research focuses on developing innovative methods to precisely and efficiently transport therapeutic agents to targeted sites within the body, maximizing efficacy and minimizing side effects. Current efforts explore miniaturized robots for targeted delivery, ultrafast on-demand release mechanisms using microfluidic devices and ultrasound, and autonomous systems guided by machine learning for precise needle insertion. These advancements, aided by modeling and optimization techniques including neural networks and metaheuristic algorithms, hold significant promise for improving treatment outcomes in various diseases, particularly cancer and chronic conditions.
