Echo Planar Imaging
Echo-planar imaging (EPI) is a rapid magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technique crucial for functional and diffusion MRI, but susceptible to artifacts like geometric distortion and noise. Current research focuses on mitigating these limitations through deep learning-based approaches, including convolutional neural networks and diffusion probabilistic models, often coupled with advanced signal processing techniques like reversed gradient polarity methods and optimal transport. These advancements aim to improve image quality, reduce scan times, and enable more accurate and efficient clinical diagnoses, particularly in neuroimaging and cardiac applications.
