Educational assessment is undergoing a transformation driven by advancements in artificial intelligence, particularly natural language processing (NLP) and large language models (LLMs). Current research focuses on automating assessment tasks, improving the accuracy and efficiency of evaluating various response types (text, diagrams, multiple-choice), and developing robust methods for analyzing algorithm performance and identifying potential biases. This work holds significant implications for improving the quality, speed, and fairness of educational evaluations, impacting both teaching practices and the design of learning materials.
