Electronic Design Automation
Electronic Design Automation (EDA) streamlines the design of integrated circuits by automating complex tasks, aiming to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and accelerate the design process. Current research heavily utilizes machine learning, particularly large language models (LLMs) and graph neural networks (GNNs), to generate HDL code, optimize logic synthesis, predict design performance, and even assist with user interaction and error explanation. These advancements are significantly impacting the field by improving design quality, reducing design time, and enabling more efficient exploration of the vast design space, ultimately leading to faster and more cost-effective chip development.
