Elephant Movement
Research on elephant movement focuses on understanding the factors driving their spatial behavior and utilizing this knowledge for conservation. Current studies employ agent-based models and clustering algorithms, analyzing large datasets of elephant locations to identify key areas of interest like water sources and, unfortunately, areas of human-elephant conflict. This work is crucial for predicting elephant movements, mitigating human-wildlife conflict, and improving anti-poaching strategies, ultimately contributing to more effective elephant conservation efforts.
