Emotion Cause
Emotion cause analysis aims to understand the relationship between expressed emotions and the events or situations that trigger them, focusing on identifying and modeling the causal link between emotional states and their antecedents. Current research emphasizes developing sophisticated models, often leveraging large language models and neural networks like BiLSTMs and transformers, to extract emotion-cause pairs from various text formats, including dialogues and reviews, often incorporating multi-task learning and reasoning chains to improve accuracy and explainability. This research is significant for advancing affective computing and building more nuanced, emotionally intelligent systems with applications in areas such as mental health support, customer service, and human-computer interaction.
