Emotion Reaction Intensity
Emotional reaction intensity (ERI) research focuses on automatically assessing the strength of emotional expressions, moving beyond simple categorical labels to capture the nuanced intensity of feelings. Current research employs deep neural networks, often incorporating multimodal data (visual and audio) and utilizing architectures like multi-task learning and dual-branch models to improve accuracy in estimating ERI from facial expressions and vocalizations. This field holds significant potential for applications in areas such as behavioral healthcare, robotics, and media analysis by providing more sensitive and accurate measures of emotional responses.
