Endovascular Navigation
Endovascular navigation aims to automate the precise guidance of catheters and guidewires within blood vessels during minimally invasive procedures, reducing radiation exposure and improving procedural efficiency. Current research heavily utilizes artificial intelligence, particularly reinforcement learning and learning from demonstration, often employing simulation environments for training and validation of algorithms like those based on spatial-frequency learning and topological channel interactions. These advancements are crucial for improving the safety and accessibility of endovascular interventions, with open-source simulators playing an increasingly important role in accelerating research and fostering collaboration.
