Energy Community
Energy communities are collaborative groups of households and businesses sharing locally generated renewable energy, aiming to reduce costs and increase energy independence. Current research emphasizes optimizing energy management within these communities, focusing on accurate load forecasting (using techniques like transfer learning and simpler, data-efficient machine learning models) and efficient energy distribution (employing hierarchical energy management systems and algorithms that consider social factors and prosumers' heterogeneous energy sources). This research is significant for improving the integration of renewable energy sources into the grid, enhancing energy system resilience, and promoting more sustainable and equitable energy practices.
