Eosin Stained
Eosin staining, a crucial component of Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) staining in histopathology, is the subject of intense research focused on improving the accuracy and efficiency of disease diagnosis from tissue images. Current efforts leverage deep learning, employing architectures like ResNet and transformers, to automate tasks such as mitotic figure detection, tumor classification, and biomarker prediction directly from H&E-stained whole slide images (WSIs). This research aims to improve diagnostic accuracy, reduce reliance on time-consuming manual processes, and enable more efficient and cost-effective disease management, particularly in cancer diagnosis and treatment.
