Eye Model
Eye modeling research focuses on creating accurate and efficient representations of the eye and surrounding structures for various applications, including biometric authentication, gaze tracking, and virtual/augmented reality. Current efforts concentrate on improving model accuracy through techniques like incorporating detailed eyelid and periocular features, leveraging both synthetic and real-world datasets (often using deep learning and dimensionality reduction), and addressing challenges such as slippage in head-mounted displays and presentation attacks. These advancements are crucial for enhancing the performance and reliability of eye-tracking systems and biometric security, as well as enabling more realistic and immersive experiences in virtual and augmented reality.
