Face Aging
Face aging research focuses on computationally generating realistic depictions of faces at different ages, aiming to improve the accuracy and diversity of age transformations. Current efforts concentrate on developing 3D-aware models, leveraging techniques like diffusion models and disentangled shape-texture representations to achieve more faithful aging while preserving individual identity and fine details, even across artistic styles. This field is significant for applications in entertainment, security (particularly concerning age-related biometric recognition challenges), and forensic science, with ongoing research addressing the limitations of existing methods in handling diverse aging patterns and large age gaps.
