Face Animation
Face animation research focuses on generating realistic and expressive talking head videos from various input sources, such as images, videos, or audio. Current efforts concentrate on improving the quality and temporal consistency of generated animations, often employing diffusion models, generative adversarial networks (GANs), and 3D morphable models (3DMMs) to achieve photorealistic results and handle complex facial structures and occlusions. These advancements leverage techniques like attribute-guided conditioning and geometry-aware feature alignment to enhance control over facial expressions and identity preservation. The resulting improvements have significant implications for fields like film production, virtual reality, and communication technologies.
