Fit All Approach

The "Fit All" approach, encompassing Once-For-All (OFA) and related methods, aims to train a single, large "supernet" capable of producing many smaller, specialized subnets optimized for diverse hardware or task constraints. Current research focuses on improving the efficiency and accuracy of these supernets, exploring architectures like multimodal learning models and employing techniques such as progressive shrinking, memory optimization, and generalized low-rank adaptation. This approach holds significant promise for reducing the computational cost and time associated with training multiple models for different applications, impacting fields ranging from image classification and natural language processing to quantum chemistry and virtual try-on technologies.
