Flow Diagram

Flow diagrams, visual representations of processes or workflows, are increasingly studied for their potential in automating complex tasks and improving understanding across diverse fields. Current research focuses on developing AI models, often leveraging large vision-language models and transformer architectures, to automatically generate, interpret, and analyze flow diagrams, including process flow diagrams (PFDs) and flowcharts, from various data sources like videos and text. This work aims to improve accuracy and efficiency in tasks such as process optimization, troubleshooting, and knowledge extraction, impacting fields ranging from chemical engineering and process design to scientific communication and software development.
