Foot Pressure
Foot pressure analysis is a burgeoning field focused on understanding how pressure distribution across the plantar surface relates to various aspects of human movement and health. Current research utilizes advanced sensor technologies and machine learning models, including deep neural networks like adversarial spatio-temporal networks and multivariate linear regression, to analyze pressure data for applications such as gait analysis, posture estimation, and the detection of neurological conditions like diabetic neuropathy and Parkinson's disease-related freezing of gait. These advancements offer non-invasive methods for objective assessment of balance, stability, and disease progression, potentially leading to improved diagnostics, personalized treatment strategies, and assistive technologies. The development of multimodal datasets combining pressure data with visual information further enhances the accuracy and robustness of these analyses.
