Footpath Network
Footpath network research focuses on automatically generating accurate and comprehensive maps of pedestrian pathways using remote sensing data and advanced machine learning techniques. Current efforts concentrate on developing efficient, label-efficient methods, often employing self-supervised learning and U-Net architectures to minimize the need for manual data annotation. This research is crucial for improving urban planning, infrastructure management, and various other fields that rely on detailed and up-to-date geospatial information about pedestrian infrastructure. The resulting high-quality footpath network data can significantly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of urban planning and resource allocation.
