French Dictionary
French dictionaries, and lexicography more broadly, are undergoing a transformation driven by advancements in natural language processing (NLP). Current research focuses on leveraging large language models and machine learning techniques to automate dictionary creation, improve word sense disambiguation, and analyze semantic relationships within and across languages, including the development of specialized lexicons for specific domains or cultural contexts. This work has implications for improving machine translation, information retrieval, and the understanding of cultural and linguistic evolution, offering both enhanced computational tools and deeper insights into language structure and use.
