Functional Muscle Network
Functional muscle networks research focuses on understanding how groups of muscles work together to produce movement, rather than analyzing individual muscle actions in isolation. Current research employs various approaches, including graph-based network analysis of muscle synchronization, hybrid deep learning models combining video and sensor data, and transformer architectures incorporating anatomical priors for improved muscle segmentation and motion prediction. This work has significant implications for improving human-machine interfaces, particularly in prosthetics and exoskeletons, as well as advancing our understanding of human movement and the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders.
