Future Research

Future research in artificial intelligence and related fields is intensely focused on addressing limitations of current models and expanding their capabilities. Key areas include improving fairness and mitigating bias in machine learning, particularly within federated learning systems; developing more environmentally sustainable AI ("Green AI"); enhancing the reliability and trustworthiness of AI outputs, such as by detecting synthetic media and reducing model hallucinations; and improving the explainability and interpretability of AI models for increased user trust and understanding. These advancements are crucial for responsible AI development and deployment across diverse applications, from healthcare and bioinformatics to data protection and robotics.
