Gender Inclusive Text
Gender-inclusive text research aims to identify and mitigate biases in language models and datasets that perpetuate gender stereotypes and discrimination. Current research focuses on detecting and correcting biases in various applications, including resume screening, machine translation, and speech recognition, often employing transformer-based architectures and techniques like multi-task learning. This work is crucial for developing fairer and more equitable AI systems and for advancing our understanding of how language reflects and reinforces societal biases, impacting fields from hiring practices to education.
