Generalizing Clinical Trial
Generalizing clinical trial results aims to extend findings from randomized controlled trials (RCTs), which are limited by strict inclusion criteria, to broader populations. Current research focuses on leveraging large language models (LLMs) to improve trial design, patient recruitment, and outcome prediction, as well as developing novel algorithms like those based on convex hulls to integrate observational data and reduce confounding biases. These advancements are crucial for improving the efficiency and generalizability of clinical research, ultimately leading to more effective and widely applicable treatments.
