Global Color Mapping
Global color mapping aims to adjust the color and tone of images or videos to achieve consistency and visual harmony, particularly crucial in applications like multi-camera stitching and HDR video conversion. Current research focuses on developing efficient algorithms, often leveraging neural networks and incorporating image statistics or learned style representations, to perform adaptive global color adjustments, sometimes in conjunction with local enhancement techniques. These advancements improve the visual quality of stitched images, enhance the conversion of standard dynamic range video to high dynamic range, and enable more seamless video compositing, impacting fields such as automotive vision and video editing.
