Granularity Attention
Granularity attention in machine learning focuses on improving model performance by attending to information at multiple levels of detail, ranging from fine-grained (e.g., individual words or pixels) to coarse-grained (e.g., entire sentences or images). Current research explores various architectures, including hierarchical transformers and multi-granularity attention networks, to effectively integrate these different levels of information, often using attention mechanisms to weigh their relative importance. This approach enhances the ability of models to capture complex relationships and contextual information, leading to improved accuracy and efficiency in diverse applications such as natural language processing, image retrieval, and medical image analysis.
