Hand Avatar
Hand avatar research focuses on creating realistic and dynamic digital representations of human hands for applications in virtual and augmented reality. Current efforts concentrate on developing efficient algorithms and models, including mesh-based and implicit neural representations, to reconstruct high-fidelity hand geometry and appearance from limited input data like single images or short videos, often incorporating techniques like data-driven priors and differentiable rendering. This work is significant for advancing human-computer interaction, enabling more immersive and natural experiences in various fields, from gaming and entertainment to medical applications like activity monitoring in musculoskeletal diseases.
