Hand Rehabilitation

Hand rehabilitation research focuses on developing assistive technologies and therapies to restore hand function after injury or stroke, improving patients' quality of life and independence. Current efforts concentrate on creating user-friendly robotic exoskeletons and virtual reality systems, often incorporating AI-powered control mechanisms like machine learning (including meta-learning) and generative models for EMG signal processing to personalize and optimize rehabilitation exercises. These advancements aim to address limitations of traditional therapy by providing accessible, effective, and engaging interventions, potentially reducing healthcare burdens and improving patient outcomes.
