Haptic Display
Haptic displays aim to recreate the sense of touch in virtual or remote environments, enhancing human-computer interaction and robotic teleoperation. Current research focuses on developing novel haptic devices using diverse approaches, including robotic manipulators, soft actuators (often 3D-printed), and even swarms of drones, with control algorithms ranging from adaptive impedance control to vision-based haptic rendering. These advancements are improving the fidelity and accessibility of haptic feedback, with applications spanning virtual reality, robotic training, and human-robot collaboration, ultimately leading to more intuitive and immersive interactions.
