Haptic Interaction
Haptic interaction, the study of tactile and kinesthetic interaction with computers and robots, aims to create more realistic and immersive experiences by incorporating the sense of touch. Current research focuses on improving haptic feedback fidelity, particularly through advanced algorithms like graph neural networks for efficient data compression and transformer-based models for learning complex manipulation skills from human demonstrations. These advancements are driving progress in areas such as remote collaboration, robotic manipulation, and rehabilitation, enabling more intuitive and effective human-machine interaction in diverse applications.
