Head Model
Head modeling research focuses on creating accurate and realistic three-dimensional representations of human heads, primarily for applications in medicine, entertainment, and computer graphics. Current efforts concentrate on developing advanced model architectures, such as neural radiance fields (NeRFs) and parametric statistical models, to achieve high-fidelity rendering and efficient processing, often incorporating techniques like self-score distillation and spherical embeddings for improved accuracy and realism. These advancements enable applications ranging from surgical simulation and personalized medical treatments to realistic head swapping in image and video editing and the generation of diverse synthetic head data for various research purposes.
