Head Reconstruction
Head reconstruction aims to create accurate 3D models of human heads from limited input data, such as single images or short videos. Current research heavily utilizes neural networks, including generative adversarial networks (GANs), implicit neural representations (like neural radiance fields and signed distance functions), and parametric models, often incorporating priors to improve robustness and efficiency, particularly when dealing with few input views or noisy data. These advancements are significantly impacting fields like virtual reality, animation, and forensic science by enabling the creation of realistic and animatable digital avatars and facilitating more efficient and accurate 3D modeling from limited visual information.
