Hen Breed
Hen breed research is increasingly focused on using computer vision and machine learning to monitor and analyze chicken behavior and health. Current studies employ deep learning models, such as convolutional neural networks (CNNs) including variations of YOLO and Mask R-CNN, and recurrent neural networks (RNNs), to automatically detect postures, behaviors (like inactivity or huddling), and vocalizations, providing valuable insights into chicken well-being. This automated analysis offers significant potential for improving poultry farming practices, enabling early detection of health problems and optimizing farm management for increased efficiency and animal welfare. Large datasets of hen images and sounds are also being developed to support these advanced analytical techniques.
