High Payload
High payload robotics focuses on designing and controlling robots capable of manipulating or transporting significantly heavy objects, exceeding the limitations of typical robotic systems. Current research emphasizes innovative mechanical designs, such as specialized leg mechanisms (e.g., prismatic quasi-direct-drive) and multi-robot cooperative strategies with efficient optimization-based cable force allocation, to achieve this goal. These advancements are crucial for expanding the capabilities of robots in various applications, including industrial automation, search and rescue, and assistive technologies, where handling heavy loads is essential.
