HOI Ref

Human-object interaction (HOI) research focuses on understanding and modeling the complex relationships between humans and objects in various visual contexts, aiming to improve computer vision's ability to interpret and generate realistic interactions. Current research emphasizes developing robust models, often leveraging large vision-language models and transformer architectures, to address challenges like egocentric vision, 3D reconstruction of interactions, and anticipation of future actions. This work is crucial for advancing applications in robotics, augmented reality, and human-computer interaction, particularly by enabling more natural and intuitive human-robot collaboration and more realistic virtual environments. Significant efforts are also dedicated to creating large-scale, high-quality datasets to benchmark and train these models, addressing limitations in data availability and diversity.
