Holistic Motion
Holistic motion research focuses on generating realistic and diverse 3D human body movements, including facial expressions, hand gestures, and body poses, often synchronized with speech. Current efforts concentrate on developing sophisticated generative models, such as transformer networks and variational autoencoders (VAEs), often incorporating techniques like product quantization and attention mechanisms to improve the quality, variability, and coordination of generated motions. This field is significant for advancing human-computer interaction, animation, and virtual reality applications, as well as providing valuable tools for studying human communication and movement.
