Human Assertion
Human assertion, the act of stating something as true, is being investigated through the lens of computational linguistics and artificial intelligence, focusing on automated verification and generation of statements. Current research employs large language models (LLMs) and other machine learning techniques to analyze and extract information from diverse sources like text, tables, and knowledge graphs, aiming to improve accuracy and efficiency in tasks such as fact-checking and information extraction. This work has implications for various fields, including scientific knowledge management, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting, and the development of more robust and reliable AI systems.
