Human Gesture
Human gesture research focuses on understanding and replicating human gestures for improved human-computer interaction and robotic systems. Current research explores diverse methods for gesture recognition and generation, including ultrasound-based sonomyography, surface electromyography, and deep learning models applied to image and motion capture data, often employing techniques like prototype learning and model-predictive control. These advancements aim to create more intuitive and natural interfaces for controlling machines and robots, as well as to improve the realism and effectiveness of virtual agents and robotic social navigation. The ultimate goal is to bridge the gap between human communication and machine understanding, leading to more seamless human-machine collaboration.
