Human Mesh
Human mesh estimation (HME) focuses on accurately reconstructing 3D human body models from various input data, such as images or videos, aiming to capture detailed body shape, pose, and even clothing. Current research emphasizes improving HME accuracy and robustness, particularly in challenging scenarios like close interactions, occlusions, and dynamic camera viewpoints, employing techniques like diffusion models, transformers, and normalizing flows to achieve this. These advancements have significant implications for diverse applications, including healthcare (e.g., pressure ulcer prevention), virtual reality, animation, and computer vision, by providing more accurate and realistic 3D human representations.
