Human Robot Communication
Human-robot communication (HRC) research aims to create natural and effective interaction between humans and robots, focusing on improving communication clarity, efficiency, and user acceptance. Current efforts explore diverse communication modalities—including haptic, visual, auditory, and natural language—often employing machine learning models like large language models and convolutional neural networks to process and interpret human input, and to generate appropriate robot responses. These advancements are significant for enhancing human-robot collaboration in various fields, from manufacturing and healthcare to search and rescue, by bridging the communication gap and improving task performance and user experience.
