Image Patch

Image patches, representing small, localized regions within an image, are fundamental units in many computer vision tasks, serving as building blocks for efficient processing and analysis. Current research focuses on leveraging patches for improved image generation (e.g., addressing object repetition in high-resolution synthesis), efficient visual-language pre-training (e.g., through novel masking strategies), and robust anomaly detection (e.g., using collaborative representation distances). This work is significant because it enables advancements in various applications, including remote sensing, image super-resolution, and object detection, by improving model efficiency, accuracy, and robustness.
