Image Rendering
Image rendering research focuses on creating realistic images from various data sources, aiming for speed, accuracy, and generalizability across diverse scenes and subjects. Current efforts concentrate on improving neural radiance fields (NeRFs) and related architectures, often incorporating techniques like efficient point sampling, global rendering operators, and active view selection to enhance rendering speed and quality. These advancements are impacting fields like virtual reality, augmented reality, and computer-aided design by enabling more realistic and efficient 3D scene representation and manipulation. Furthermore, research is exploring the integration of different rendering techniques, such as combining NeRFs with traditional 3D models, to leverage the strengths of each approach for superior results.
