Imaging Radar
Imaging radar, a technology generating high-resolution images from radar signals, aims to improve object detection, scene understanding, and localization in various applications, particularly autonomous driving and robotics. Current research emphasizes enhancing radar resolution through deep learning techniques, such as 1D signal super-resolution and convolutional neural networks (CNNs), often incorporating physics-based models for improved efficiency and accuracy. This field is significant due to radar's robustness in challenging weather conditions and its potential to enable advanced sensor fusion and improved performance in tasks like SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) and gesture recognition, surpassing limitations of camera-based systems.
