Individual Perspective
Research on individual perspectives focuses on understanding and modeling the unique characteristics and experiences of individuals, moving beyond population-level averages. Current research employs diverse methods, including deep learning models for personalized predictions (e.g., in healthcare and assistive technologies), and novel algorithms for fair and unbiased decision-making in AI systems. This work is significant because it addresses critical issues of accessibility, fairness, and personalized interventions across various domains, ultimately aiming to improve the design of technologies and systems that better serve diverse populations.
